In a heartwarming act of heroism, a California man has become an overnight sensation after saving a baby from rolling into oncoming traffic. The video of the incident has since gone viral, highlighting the quick thinking of Ronald Nessman, who happened to be in the right place at the right time.
The incident took place outside the A1 Hand Car Wash in Hesperia, California, on Monday, when the baby’s great aunt was distracted and the stroller began rolling backward towards a busy street. Nessman, who had just finished a job interview for a dishwashing position at a nearby restaurant, was accompanying his sister to the car wash when he saw the stroller gaining speed and immediately rushed to grab it.
Speaking to reporters, Nessman said he had no time to think and acted purely on instinct. He said, “You just think, ‘You gotta get it!’ so I got it.”
Nessman’s heroism has not gone unnoticed, and during a recent interview at his sister’s home, he received a phone call offering him a job at the very restaurant he had just interviewed with – Applebee’s.
Nessman, who had fallen on hard times and was homeless for eight years after suffering from depression following the death of his girlfriend, expressed gratitude for the job offer and the opportunity to get back on his feet. He said, “Thank you. I appreciate everything, guys. This is so great!”
The heartwarming story has captured the attention of social media, with many praising Nessman for his bravery and selflessness. The video of the incident has been viewed millions of times, with many people expressing their gratitude for his heroic act.
Nessman’s next goal is to save enough money to buy a used car, which will enable him to take on more work in further locations. Meanwhile, he has become an inspiration to many, showing that no matter how tough life may get, there is always hope for a better tomorrow.
