In a small town in Tennessee, chaos erupted when Meemoo the Emu decided to go on a wild ride through the streets. The flightless bird, who had escaped from its enclosure, was causing a stir among the locals and even managed to evade capture by animal control.
The emu was spooked by the logging happening behind the house and decided to take matters into his own wings. With a leap of faith, MeeMoo cleared the 7-foot fence and set off on a wild adventure that would soon make him an internet sensation.
Over the next few hours, MeeMoo led people all over the county on a wild goose… er, emu chase. He reached speeds of up to 40mph and covered about 20 miles in total.
But in the end, the police were able to catch up with MeeMoo just above downtown, and with the help of a great friend, they were able to load him up and bring him back home. Thanks to the efforts of the Harriman Police Department and everyone involved, MeeMoo is now safe and sound back in his pen.
